What if no one answered the call ?
The Ashaway Volunteer Fire Association is actively recruiting individuals who wish to serve the Ashaway Fire District and surrounding areas in the capacity of firefighter and or support personnel. Eligibility requirements include men or women 18 and older, good physical condition, and have the desire to participate in fire and/or emergency activities. No training or fire service experience is necessary for membership.
The Ashaway Voluteer Fire Association will provide all training.
Those persons who do not have the desire to participate in emergency activities, or who do not meet the physical requirements for active membership are also encouraged to join the department as an Associate Member. These members contribute in the areas of fundraising, public relations, public education.

Junior Member Program
The Ashaway Volunteer Fire Association welcomes volunteers ages 14-18 as junior members on the department. Junior receive the same training as regular members and enjoy some of the same benefits.
